Wig Repairs
Over time all wigs will need repairing. This is due to general wear and tear and brushing and styling which can lead to shedding and or tears in the wig base.
We anticipate that full lace systems will need to be repaired every 3 - 6 months.
When can a wig be repaired?
- A wig can be repaired if it has shed significantly or is torn or if the hair tangles significantly. If you can see any noticeable bald patches on the wig then it’s time to send it in for a repair.
What can I do to keep my wig in the best condition possible and limit the number of repairs I need?
- Purchase TDI knot sealer and use this on the base of the wig BEFORE the first application. This is a great product and really helps limit shedding.
- Don’t use a brush on the wig only a WIDE TOOTH COMB this will help limit shedding.
- Wash and condition the wig weekly. We recommend using SILICON MIX conditioner as a deep treatment on the wig; it leaves the hair soft, moisturised and smooth.
- Tie the hair down with a silk scarf at night.
- When conditioning the hair avoid getting the product on the knots as this can loosen them. Concentrate the conditioner on the mid lengths to ends of the hair.
- Generally just look after the wig as best as you can.
How much do the repairs cost?
- Repairs are £80, payable by debit card, cash, cheque or via Pay Pal. Cheque is probably the easiest method because you can post the cheque together with the wig. The cheque will be banked and when it clears the wig will be sent for repair. But whoever payment method suits you is fine.
How long will the repair take?
- Generally the repair will take 4-8 weeks. We can either post it to you when it has been fixed or you can come and collect it.
I purchased a wig elsewhere, can I still get it repaired by Louise Pierre?
- At present we are only offering repairs on wigs that are purchased from us. If your wig is in need of repair we suggest that you contact retailer who sold you the wig.
